Terms & conditions
Hausio's rules, written so you can understand them without a lawyer. If anything is unclear, email us before you publish or subscribe.

1. What Hausio is and who makes it
This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version (hausiomx.com/terminos) is the binding one; Mexican law applies.
Hausio is an online platform that offers two technology services: it connects owners who want to sell or rent a property with real estate agents, and it gives agents their own website to publish and share their listings, with a downloadable catalog. Owners publish for free; agents pay a subscription.
The service is provided by the developer of Hausio ("Hausio", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of Hausio; by creating an account or using the site you accept them, together with the privacy notice. If you don't agree, don't use Hausio.
2. Hausio is not a party to the deal
Hausio is not a real estate agent, does not represent any party and does not take part in transactions. The sale, the rental and the commission are agreed directly between the owner, the agent and, where applicable, the buyer or tenant. Hausio does not collect, hold or guarantee commissions.
We don't verify property ownership, users' identities, or agents' licenses or registrations. Before signing anything or handing over money, review the documents and, if needed, see a notary or an attorney.
Hausio only provides the tool. Conversations, agreements, showings, payments and any other contact between users, or between an agent and their clients, are the sole responsibility of the people involved, whether inside Hausio or outside it: on WhatsApp, by phone, by email or in person. Hausio doesn't supervise them, doesn't intervene in them and isn't responsible for their content, their fulfillment or their consequences.
Anyone who visits an agent's site or receives their catalog deals directly with that agent. The information on the site and in the catalog is published by the agent, not by Hausio; the WhatsApp button opens a conversation between the visitor and the agent, outside the platform.
No one at Hausio will ever ask you for deposits, advance payments or payments to "hold" a property. If someone does so through the platform, report it.
3. Your account
You must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. When you sign up you choose whether you're an owner or a real estate agent, and the information you give must be true and kept up to date.
Each person may have only one account, and it's personal: don't share it or resell it. You're responsible for your password and for whatever is done from your account; if you think someone else got in, change it and let us know.
4. If you publish a property
You may only publish properties you own or are authorized to offer, for example under a power of attorney or a written authorization. Photos must be yours or you must have the right to use them.
Don't publish false or misleading information about the price, features, location or availability. If the property is sold or rented, mark it or take it down.
The commission you state is an offer to agents. The final amount, exclusivity and form of payment are agreed directly with the agent you decide to work with; we recommend doing it in writing.
Agents with an active subscription see your property's full listing, including the exact address. Your email and phone number are not shown: contact starts in the Hausio chat.
If you turn on "Allow on agent sites", an agent may show your property to their clients on their public site, without the exact address, the commission or your contact details. You can turn it off for each property whenever you want.
5. If you're an agent
Use Hausio only for your professional activity as a real estate agent and comply with the regulations that apply to that activity where you work.
Don't share the exact address of properties or owners' details outside the platform, unless the owner authorizes it.
Don't copy or extract information by automated means (scraping, bots or bulk downloads), and don't share your access with other people.
You publish the listings you upload to your site. Only upload properties you're authorized to offer —for example, under a listing agreement or with the owner's authorization— and photos that are yours or that you have the right to use. Keep their information true and up to date: if one is sold, rented or is no longer available, mark it or take it down.
Of other users' opportunities, show on your site only those Hausio allows you to, without altering their information.
Your site is public while your subscription is active and you have it published; what you put on it —your photo, your name, your headline, your description, your brokerage, your city, your WhatsApp and your listings— can be seen by anyone who has the address, and it also appears in the catalog you download. You decide who you share the link or the catalog with, and you're responsible for your relationship with your clients.
6. Subscription and billing
There are three plans for agents, based on how many available listings your site can show: Esencial, up to 10 listings, at $349 MXN a month or $3,490 MXN a year; Profesional, up to 75 listings, at $599 MXN a month or $5,990 MXN a year; Premium, up to 200 listings, at $999 MXN a month or $9,990 MXN a year. Paused or sold listings don't count toward the limit. In Mexico, prices include VAT (IVA) and are charged in Mexican pesos. Outside Mexico they're charged in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply: Esencial, $19 USD a month or $190 USD a year; Profesional, $29 USD a month or $290 USD a year; Premium, $49 USD a month or $490 USD a year. The price you'll pay is shown to you before you confirm.
If you switch to a plan with fewer listings, nothing is deleted or paused: your site and your catalog show your most recent available listings up to your plan's limit, and you can't mark others as available until you're within it.
If you've never had a plan on Hausio and you enter the code HAUSIO under "Add promotion code" at checkout, your first month on a monthly plan costs half (50% off): Esencial, $174.50 MXN instead of $349 MXN ($9.50 USD instead of $19 USD outside Mexico); Profesional, $299.50 MXN instead of $599 MXN ($14.50 USD instead of $29 USD outside Mexico); Premium, $499.50 MXN instead of $999 MXN ($24.50 USD instead of $49 USD outside Mexico). You're charged the day you sign up. From the second month on you pay the plan's regular price, every month, until you cancel. Without a code you're charged the full price.
The welcome offer is for new customers only: it doesn't apply if you've already had a plan on Hausio, with any account or any email. It doesn't apply to the yearly plan either.
Promotions (the welcome code, the trial code, Invite & earn and partner codes) are subject to availability: we may withdraw them at any time. From that moment their code stops working at checkout and we remove it from the site. If you already paid with a discount, it's honored, and so are any free months you've already earned.
With the trial code PRUEBA7, which we give out in some campaigns, you get 7 days free on a monthly plan. At checkout you register your card and nothing is charged that day. The same day you start, we email you the date and amount of the first charge. If you don't cancel before then, on day 7 the full price of your plan is charged and then every month. If you cancel during the trial, you're not charged anything. It's for new customers only and can't be combined with other codes.
Besides the welcome code there are personal codes: a fellow agent's (Invite & earn) and a partner's. They're all entered in the same place, at checkout, and they're for new customers only and for the monthly plan only.
Only one code applies per purchase. Discounts never stack. The discounted price and the price you'll pay afterwards are shown on the checkout page before you confirm.
A code only counts if you enter it at checkout. Links we share or that others share (for example, hausiomx.com/r/…) are used to measure where visits come from: they don't give a discount or generate rewards or commissions.
We may deactivate a code, for example when an agreement with a partner ends or we detect abuse. If you already paid with it, your discount is honored.
Payments are processed by Stripe with the card you register. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period —month or year, depending on the plan— on the same plan, until you cancel it.
At least 5 calendar days before each automatic charge we send you an email with the amount, the date of the charge and the link to cancel. If you don't want to be charged, cancel before that date from My account → Plan & billing: it's immediate and you don't have to talk to anyone. You keep the service until the end of the period you already paid for.
To change your plan or your card, go to My account → Plan & billing. The change and any price adjustment are shown to you before you confirm.
If a charge fails, Stripe retries it for a few days and we let you know. If every attempt fails, the subscription is canceled and access to opportunities and to your site is suspended until you subscribe again.
We may change prices by notifying you by email at least 30 calendar days in advance. The new price applies at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
7. Refunds
We do the billing ourselves through Stripe. If you think you were charged by mistake or something didn't work, email us at hausiomx@gmail.com and we'll look into it with you.
Outside of those cases, periods already paid for are not refunded in whole or in part, and when you cancel you keep access until the end of the period.
None of this limits any right to a refund or to withdraw that the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor) gives you.
8. Cancellation and account deletion
You can cancel your subscription whenever you want from My account → Plan & billing. There's no minimum term and no penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for; until then you keep the full service.
Canceling your subscription doesn't delete your account: you can subscribe again whenever you want and you'll find your information where you left it. When you come back you pay the regular price: the welcome offer is only for the first time.
To delete your account, go to My account → Delete account. If you have a current plan, it's canceled at that moment with no refund for the current period, and your profile, your listings, their photos, your saved items, your conversations and your reports are permanently deleted. Conversations are also deleted for the other person. You also lose any unused Invite & earn credit.
9. Invite & earn and partner codes
If you're an agent with a plan, you have a personal code to invite your colleagues: your site name in capital letters, for example EMILY-CARTER. You'll find it in My site → Invite & earn.
When a colleague enters your code at checkout and pays their first month, you earn 1 free month of your plan. When your invitee number 5 pays, you earn 2 more months. With your code, your colleague pays half price for their first month. Only the code entered at checkout counts: if your colleague uses another code or none, there's no reward.
In total you can earn up to 6 free months per account. Once you reach that cap, your colleagues still get their discount with your code, but no more months are added for you.
It only counts if your colleague is a new customer, that is, if they've never had a plan on Hausio.
The free month is account credit in Stripe, for the monthly price of your plan (or of Esencial, if you don't have a plan at that moment), in the currency you pay in, and it's deducted automatically from your next charges. It isn't cash: it can't be withdrawn or transferred to another person. If you change plans, you keep the credit. If you delete your account, you lose it.
No one may invite themselves or create accounts to collect the reward. If we detect abuse, we cancel the rewards that came from it and we may close the account.
Of your invitees you only see how many used your code and how many are already paying. Never their names or their emails.
Invite & earn is subject to availability and we may end it at any time. If its end is already scheduled, you'll see it in My site → Invite & earn. What you've already earned is honored.
There are also partners: outside people or companies, such as real estate coaches, who recommend Hausio with their own code. If you come in with a partner's code (you enter it at checkout, under "Add promotion code"), your first month on a monthly plan is free: nothing is charged that day, you register your card and the first charge comes at the end of that month, with an email notice days before. After that you pay your plan's regular price and you can cancel before then at no cost.
A partner's code is for new customers only (who have never had a plan on Hausio), one per account, on the monthly plan only, and can't be combined with other codes.
Hausio pays the partner a commission that doesn't change what you pay. The partner doesn't see your data: only how many accounts came in with their code and how much was billed. Their terms are agreed separately, in writing.
10. What you publish is yours
The text and photos you upload are still yours. By publishing them you give us a free, non-exclusive permission to store them, adapt them (for example, reduce the size of photos) and show them within Hausio while they're published and, if you allow it, on agents' sites.
You're responsible for what you publish, what you write in the chat and what you share outside Hausio, such as the link to your site or your catalog.
11. Reports and moderation
Agents with a subscription can report a property whose listing they've opened, and any user can report a person they've chatted with.
When a property gets 3 reports from different people, it's hidden automatically while we review it. If the report doesn't hold up, the listing is shown again.
We may hide or remove listings and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk, notifying you unless urgency or the law indicates otherwise. We're not required to review all content before it's published.
12. Acceptable use
You may not use Hausio for illegal activities, for fraud or to ask for advance payments; or try to access other accounts' information, get around the platform's restrictions or interfere with how it works.
In the chat, treat others with respect: no spam, pressure or harassment, and don't send illegal or offensive material or material that infringes other people's rights.
To protect the service there are reasonable usage limits, such as a maximum number of listings, messages or reports per day.
13. Availability
We work to keep Hausio available at all times, but we can't guarantee there will be no interruptions: we depend on infrastructure providers and on your connection.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering the service. If we discontinue it, we won't charge renewals after that date. Reasonable maintenance and interruptions caused by a third party are not a breach of these terms.
14. Who owns what
The Hausio brand, its logo, the site's design and the software are ours or belong to whoever licenses them to us. The subscription gives you permission to use the service while it's active; it doesn't transfer ownership of anything to you or allow you to copy it, resell it or create a derivative service.
If you send us comments or suggestions, we may use them to improve Hausio without owing you anything for it.
15. The service is provided "as is"
Hausio is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that a property will be sold or rented, or how long it will take, or how many agents will be interested in it, or the accuracy of what other users publish.
Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that the law doesn't allow to be excluded, including your rights as a consumer.
16. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for agreements between users or with third parties, for what is discussed or agreed inside or outside Hausio, for the payment of commissions, for other users' conduct, for the content agents publish on their sites and catalogs, or for indirect damages or lost profits —deals that didn't close, commissions you expected— arising from the use of or inability to use the service.
Our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid Hausio in the twelve months before the claim.
This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability arising from willful misconduct. Where the law doesn't allow these limitations, they apply only as far as it does allow.
17. You're responsible for your use
If a third party makes a claim against us because of how you used Hausio —for example, for publishing on your account or on your site a property you weren't authorized to offer, photos that weren't yours or false information, or for what you agreed with a client—, you'll take responsibility for that claim and for what it costs us to deal with it, to the extent the law allows.
18. Force majeure
We're not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control: failures of infrastructure or internet providers, power outages, natural disasters, acts of authorities or similar.
19. Changes to these terms
If we change something important we'll let you know by email or within Hausio before it takes effect, and the date above will change. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account. If you keep using Hausio after the effective date, it means you accept the new version.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. If you're a consumer, you may go to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor) and to the courts where you live.
21. Everything else
These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest remains in effect, and that part applies as far as the law allows and no further.
If we don't enforce something right away, it doesn't mean we waive the right to enforce it later.
You may not assign your account to a third party without our consent; we may assign the service, for example if Hausio is sold or reorganized, and your rights don't change because of it.
